The Monday blues have hopefully faded away and the weekend is in sight, Hoorah! So what better reason for another little insight into Susannah Hall Tailors.

We thought that we would let our fabulous readers into a little secret.  OK OK it might be the worst kept secret next to Girls Aloud reuniting but we do like to create a bit of suspense. 

Did you know that Susannah Hall Tailors creates bespoke pieces not just for men, but for women too! WOW ladies, we could hear your sighs of relief from here in Clerkenwell.

Here at Susannah Hall we know just how hard it is to find pieces that not just fit, but are timeless and interesting.  How fabulous to have a garment in you own style, fit and fabric made here in the UK.  It will be individual and truly yours.

And on to my favorite, what a fabulous coat in this wonderful Dormeuil cloth.  Classic yet interesting with its subtle colour and detailing.  Remember, a coat really is an investment and as with all of Hall's creations, look after them well and they will last a lifetime.    

BUT WAIT THERE IS MORE.  How frustrating is it when a piece of clothing that you love, and have practically lived in, becomes no longer fit for wear.  Susannah once again comes to the rescue.  We are able to recreate any tailored garment you bring to us.  Whether it be a skirt, jacket or coat, you can choose any colour or design you desire!

Zoe Lem's Vintage Wedding Fair

Here at Susannah Hall, we love unique textures and timeless pieces, so we were so excited to be invited to Zoe Lem’s annual Vintage Wedding Fair at the Old Sessions House, Clerkenwell.  We were also thrilled to discover that Susannah Hall was the only bespoke tailor exhibiting (who doesn’t like to steal the limelight). However, we could not pinch all of the attention as the event included vintage tea rooms, Champagne bars, fashions shows, live demos, workshops and a wonderful vintage DJ with giant radio decks!

We must say that most of our day was spent admiring Zoe’s amazing wedding dresses.  Their shapes are so flattering and as Zoe says “there is no such thing as the wrong dress, the right dress just the wrong body”.  We love this philosophy as it really does demonstrate the importance of the right fit, something that is assured when you invest in bespoke.  

There is nothing like adding a splash of colour to a bespoke suit.  We could not resist showcasing these beautiful ties that are available from our showroom in Clerkenwell designed by the lovely Victoria Richards.  Their vibrant colours, many of them hand printed, are perfect for a modern take on a vintage look.

Of course when it comes to weddings it is all in the detail.  Our vintage style cufflinks were admired by many and can really add that special touch to any suit. 

 

  

We also exhibited many of our Susannah Hall jackets.  From outrageous colours (hello Mr Orange) to classic tweeds, guests were treated to a glimpse into Hall’s Clerkenwell showroom. 

The day was fabulous, we really enjoyed looking at the lovely goodies and thank you to everybody that came to say hello, we will see you soon!
